Terms of service

Nalma is an app for two people who miss each other: a tap from one is felt on the other one’s phone. These terms describe what we give you, what we ask of you, and what happens to what you paid for if the link ends.

The part most worth knowing: a single payment unlocks the service for both people. But the entitlement belongs to whoever paid, and travels with their Google account. The other person’s access comes from the link between the two phones. If you unlink, you do not keep the same thing — section 5 explains it.

1. Who provides the service

Nalma is a product of Sudaca, a software studio based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You can find us at sudaca.ar and write to us at info@mail.sudaca.com.ar.

2. What you need to use it

Two Android phones, one for each person. Nalma does nothing with just one: it is not an app you use alone.
To be 16 or older. Nalma is not directed at people under that age.
An internet connection on both phones.

No account is needed: Nalma does not ask for your name, email or a password. Using the app means accepting these terms.

3. The link is for two

A phone links with one other phone at a time. To connect with someone else, you first have to end the link you have.

You can end it whenever you want, from the app, and it is immediate: no delays, no waiting periods, no conditions. Ending it from either side ends it for both.

4. The free trial

Every new link starts with a free trial of 72 hours, for both people.

The clock starts when the second person accepts the invitation, not when the app is installed. That way it is not spent while you wait for the other person to download it.
Unlinking and linking again does not restart the trial: whatever was left is kept.
We may change the trial length for future links. A trial already under way is neither shortened nor extended.

5. The payment, and what each of you keeps

When the trial ends, a single payment unlocks the service for both people. It is not a subscription: it does not renew and is not charged again. The payment is processed by Google Play under its own terms and payment methods; we never see or store your card details.

Either of you can pay. Whoever does not pay never sees a purchase screen.

If you unlink, you do not keep the same thing, and this is the part worth reading slowly:

Whoever paid keeps the entitlement. It is tied to their Google account, so it survives reinstalling the app, changing phones, and forming a new link with someone else.
Whoever did not pay, does not. Their access came from the link. Once it ends, they are back to having no entitlement, and in a new link they will get the trial and then the payment.

If the same two people link again, the service is unlocked without paying again. We do this because it seems fair, but it is not a guarantee: the recognition rests on the identifiers of the two phones, and if both change — for example, if you both reinstall and start over — the pair stops being recognised. What is durable is the entitlement of whoever paid.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policy and within its time window. Beyond that, write to the address in section 10 and we will look at it: we have no fine print to hold against you.

If a payment is reversed or refunded, the entitlement it granted is revoked, and that also covers the other person’s derived access.

7. What we do not promise

Nalma is a young product, and we would rather say so plainly:

We do not guarantee continuous availability. There may be interruptions for maintenance, from failures, or from causes outside our control.
We do not guarantee that a pulse arrives instantly, or at all. It depends on both phones’ networks and on Android, which may delay or drop notifications from apps it considers asleep. The app shows you once how to avoid that, but the final decision belongs to the operating system, not to us.
Nalma is not for emergencies. A pulse has no content and there is no way to know whether it arrived in time. Do not use it as a call for help, or for anything where a delay matters.

8. Reasonable use

We ask that you do not use Nalma to harass anyone, that you do not try to automate sending pulses or to get around the rate limits, and that you do not try to reach other people’s links or the service’s infrastructure.

If we detect such use, we may suspend the access of the device involved.

9. Changes and end of service

If these terms change, the date above changes. If the change affects you significantly, we will say so inside the app before it takes effect.

If we ever discontinue Nalma, we will give as much notice as we can and, if there was a recent payment whose use is frustrated, we will sort it out case by case.
